Immortal

O Immortal foi fundado em 1989 na Noruega, por por Abbath (Old Funeral) e Demonaz (Amputation). A bateria teve uma alternância de nomes como Armagedda, Grim (ex-Borknagar) e Hellhammer, até o álbum Battles In The North. Após três demos, assinam o primeiro contrato profissional e gravam Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism em 1992, logo em seguida Pure Holocaust (1993) e Battles In The North (1995). Com este último, conseguiram se tornar um dos maiores nomes do Black Metal Norueguês.Depois vieram Blizzard Beasts (1997), At The Heart Of Winter (1999), Damned In Black (2000) e Sons Of Northern Darkness (2002),Após Sons Of Nothern Darkness decidiram passar alguns anos inativos, mas em 2007 (com anuncio feito em 2006), Abbath Doom Occulta (vocal e guitarra), Demonaz Dooom Occulta (letras e arranjos) e Horgh (bateria), fizeram um retorno triunfante ao lado do estreante Apollyon (baixo).
Em 2009, lançam seu oitavo trabalho All Shall Fall, um dos discos mais diretos da banda ao estilo daqueles lançados em seus primórdios.
É impossível falar sobre Black Metal Norueguês e não citar o Immortal, cuja a trajetória se confunde com o próprio estilo. O Immortal é sem dúvida o maior expoente deste estilo e All Shall Fall vem para confirmar isso.
